    Description

    Vintage Native American Moose Hide and Glass Bead Hair Ties. These gorgeous hair ties are 12"  long and 3 1/2" at the widest medicine wheel.  The medicine wheels have hundreds of glass red and gold beads and the fringe has large white glass beads. They are backed with yellow trade cloth. The middle has a split deer fur feather. I listed them as used, but they do not look to have ever been worn. Beads all there--no rips. Thread appears to be sinew. I found them sometime between 1970 and 2000. I collected LOTS of Native American, Cowboy and equine antiques and crafts during that time. I retired over 20 years ago and stopped collecting and took them out of being stored and put all my collections in display cabinets and cases. Now I am getting old and need to pare down :-). I have the matching arm bands in another listing--they have definitely been used--most likely in ceremonies of some kind. If you bought both, I would try to send carefully in one priority box.
