Vintage MONDAINE “Great Dane” ART DECO Rust Colored ENAMEL COMPACT Exquisite!.
This is an absolutely exquisite vintage MONDAINE NEW YORK Rust Colored Enamel Makeup COMPACT from the Art Deco period. The cover has an image of a Great Dane Dog along with wavy guilloche lines. The silvertone interior (may be silverplate) has two compartments with snap lids for face rouge and face powder, engraved Mondaine, New York, USA. The top interior has a mirror surrounded by an Art Deco repetitive square pattern. All snaps work perfectly, nice and tight. The enamel is in near perfect shape on top, very minor scuffing on bottom. Mirror has slight fogging around edge. Has a really nice feel of smoothness and quality, May have been custom made because of the dog! Measures 2 x 3”.
