Vintage Miniature Woven Sewing Basket 5 1/2 inches

Description

This lidded basket with handle still shows traces of white paint on the handle.  The interior is nicely plaited with a natural fiber and the exterior is woven with very fine grass or reeds.  It has dried with age and there are a few cracks at the bend of the fibers in the handle.  The lid has an intricately woven black design.  The lid fits as it should. What a nice container for a collection of miniature thread spools. About 5 1/2 inches across, 4 inches tall with an interior space about 3 1/2 x 2 inches.  From my sewing collection.
