Vintage Silver Bouquet of Roses Compact
previously owned
ca. 1920s
Top has engraved bouquet of flowers,
complete with a blank notecard tucked in.
(Possible area for monogram?)
Back is stamped LG 833, indicating silver.
Many I've seen of this style and theme were
made in Israel, but this has no other markings.
Just under 2.5" diameter and weighs 38 g.
CONDITION
PLEASE note pink coloring along the top is just a reflection.
Top is in beautiful condition with very light surface wear.
Back has a few areas of light discoloration and one small dark pitted area (see photo 3).
Compact closes VERY tightly and is a little difficult to open.
There are areas of tiny crimps/distortion to the mirror frame, which is likely why it's such a tight fit.
Beveled mirror is mostly clear with light areas of clouding and is loose in its frame,
but does not seem in danger of falling out.
Screen is present, lightly stained.
Inside of back has some scuffing and discoloration.
Overall presents very nicely!
