Description
Up for auction is this very nice Antique Houbigant vanity compact. It is a silvertone, pressed powder vanity case with a celluloid lid inset flower basket motif with logo. The base has reverse engine-turned concentric circles. It is case signed and has a hinged framed mirror. It is 2" six-sided x 3/4". This compact is circa 1927 and it is in very good condition. There is a puff in it. Something very interesting about the flower logo.... Both French cosmetic houses of Langlois and Houbigant had the flower basket logo in various styles.
