VINTAGE HISTORY BOSTON NEW ENGLAND ANTIQUE CARDBOARD COMPACT ROUGE BEN LEVY CO

Description

Born in France in 1845 he established his company in 1871 and named it, simply, Ben Levy Co. It is not clear whether the company was established first in France although events of the time make it more likely that Levy immigrated to America and created his business there.
Don't know much about the compact, could have been my grandmothers.  The box is in good condition, some of the lettering shows wear. Unbelievably the inside contents are in VG condition (see photos).
A unique and rare piece of history for any New Englander!
