Vintage Bruning Steel Eraser 87-850 Original Box Wood Handle

Description

Up for auction an original Charles Bruning Company steel and wood eraser in original box.  Steel erasers are used for "erasing" (scraping) ink from paper and the end tapers to a flattened edge for use as a burnisher.
The box measures 6 1/4" long, 1" wide and 1/2" deep.  The knife measures 5 1/2" long, 7/16" wide at top and 1/2" wide at bottom of handle.  Combined weight is 0.7 ounces prior to packing for shipping.  Will ship in an 6x6x3 box.
This set is in good preowned condition.  The box has some discoloration spotting on white label, fading and yellowing.  The box is unbroken but does have light wear and rubs to the black paper.  The steel knife has some spotting and discoloration.  Both edges of the blade are sharp and I don't see any edge damage.  The wood handle does not appear to have any discoloration.
