    Description

    Up for bid is a vintage oval brass compact, dated 1924.  The compact is 2 5/8 inches wide by 2 inches deep  by 7/16 inch thick.  The exterior is gold-tone brass with different engine-turned patterns on the lid and back.  It has a mirror inside the lid and a bare silvered powder surface but no applicator.  It is marked “PAT-JULY1-1924” below the mirror.
    Condition on the compact is fairly good.  Aside from the missing applicator, there is a slight dark spot in the mirror and normal signs of use.  A good vintage compact!
