Very clean D-35 with minimal evidence of wear -- it is free of scratches, dings and missing paint.
All buttons, switches and knobs are present and work as expected.
The internal BP-5 battery compartment is clean and free of corrosion.
I was able to power the Discman with the external AA battery box.
The Discman plays CDs, but skips frequently when held horizontally.
I tried several CDs, some were better than others. I noticed it skipped far less often when held vertically.
Perhaps it needs the laser calibrated, I am not sure.
