    Silver Enamel Scenic European Compact
    Elaborately enameled and beautiful silver European compact (Italy I believe) with a scene of a couple enjoying a romantic afternoon in the woods.  This compact has enamel on all sides of the edge with the silver designed flowers coming through. The back is solid black enamel.  The interior of the compact has a mechanism that allows 3 positions for the powder to come from the back of the compact to the front (Closed, Perforated and Open) All three positions are photographed. The mirror flips to the side to reveal another compartment. The retaining ring for the mirror is loose but the door swings and shuts well.  An excellent example of a highly decorated silver and enamel compact.
