    Description

    You are bidding on an 8 x 10 black and white photograph of HMS Barfleur, the Centurion Class pre dreadnought battleship, which served in the Royal Navy from 1894 to 1909.
    Barfleur, was laid down, at the venerable Chatham Dockyard on October 12, 1890. She was launched on August 10, 1892, and commissioned into the Royal Navy on July 18, 1894.
    After service in the Mediterranean and the China Station, she was paid off and scrapped, in 1909.
    Photograph one is undated which shows an overall waterline starboard bow view.
    Photograph two is an 8 x 10 colour statistics sheet showing the ships unofficial badge, general characteristics, a line drawing, trivia and the ensigns she proudly flew.
    Item three is a photo quality short history of the Barfleur, with a list of her Commanding Officers, and a photograph, of her memorial, at Gibralter Hill, Chatham, Kent.
