RARE 1930s DISNEY MICKEY & MINNIE MOUSE FIGURINE TEA PARTY SET NRFB G BORGFELDT.
This auction is for a rare seldom seen Walt Disney set from the 1930s. This was made in Japan for George Borgfeldt and it is Mickey and Minnie mouse having a tea party. This is one of the rarer Borgfeldt sets of this era and this one is near complete. Just missing the lid for the teapot. The Mickey and Minnie figures are in very good condition , no paint loss and no repairs. The box is still bright and colorful but shows wear. The box lid is split on the one end flap. Also there is a spot of blue paint on the box lid, see pictures for condition. The figurines are still clean and bright as the day they were made. The table is trimmed in green and the table top looks to be stained but not from the green paint. The mice sit in two little rattan chairs, the table being rattan as well. The tea set should consists of 8 pieces, a tea pot and lid, sugar and creamer and two cups and saucers. It is missing the lid to the pot and one saucer. The bisque figurines are about 3" tall. The box is marked Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Walte Disney Geo. Borgfeldt Corporation Made in Japan. 66^858. The box measures 3" by 5 1/2" by 1 /4" deep.
