Powder/snuff box Enamel Jewel France 1900's w/snuff straw MOP RARE Antique 14KT

Today we are delighted to offer for sale a rare antique French 14kt Ormolu Dore
This exquisite late 19th century box is finely crafted and detailed.
The box is square-shaped and features a neoclassical repousse side border, with built-in hanging loop to support a chain (the current chain is a later replacement).
The Pièce de résistance of the box is the gorgeous ornate lid, which features extensive overlay lace-like filigree detailing, with a center medallion cabochon enamel portrait of a lovely French aristocratic noblewoman.
The lid is adorned with faux- ruby and id decorated in enamel. The interior of the lid features a beveled mirror.
The box is marked on the back "Made in France", Inside  is incised 14. Box presents well and is in good antique condition, with minor wear/tarnish and patina commensurate with age
Mother of pear and French brass snuff spoon/straw. One of a kind, surely made for someone special. This piece is exceptional, really!
