Lot of Original Antique Prints, Ten Assorted Color Lithographs and Engravings

Description

We have separated our antique print/map lot listing into separate listings to include either all maps or all prints. This listing is original antique print lots, but check the "Postcards and Ephemera" section of our shop if you are looking for the antique map lots. Each lot in this listing will include ten different original 18th through early 20th Century antique prints selected from the groups shown in the photos. The first listing photo provides an example of a typical lot, with the remaining photos showing the different groups each print is selected from to make up the lot of ten. The prints are not randomly selected, but rather specifically chosen so that each lot includes the variety shown in the first photo and consists of botanicals, animals, and others subjects ranging in age from the late 1700s to the early 1900s. Each lot will include the following prints:
Two Hand-colored botanical engravings by Sowerby, dated between the 1790s and 1830s
Hand-colored bird engraving from Jardine's Naturalists Library, 1830s-40s
Color fruit/vegetable and/or medicinal herbal print, 1890s - 1920s
Copper-engraved animal print by Goldsmith (1790s) or Jardine (hand-colored, 1830s-40s)
Color lithographed art print (flags/ornament/pottery/etc.) 1850s - 1900s
Fine black and white German lithographed print, variety of subjects, 1890s
Two-toned lithograph of animals or birds, 1902
Two-toned lithograph of fish or sea creatures, 1902
Lithograph or hand-colored engraving of insects or other scientific subject, 1840s-1900s
Size:
They vary in size from about 4" x 6" up to 9" x 12"
Condition:
Generally very good. They are frameable-quality prints that we have collected over the years, but do not sell individually in our shop. They are all in good condition and clean with the exception of the very early prints from the 1700s (the Sowerby botanicals/Goldsmith engravings), some of which show age toning to the paper and/or scattered foxing. The best bargain on eBay for real original antique prints!
Each lot will be packaged in a sealed plastic sleeve and will ship flat within a large rigid mailer for protection.
