Lot 7 Vtg Playskool Wood Puzzle Peanuts Snoopy Linus Patty Disney Minnie Huey
Here is a group of 7 children's inlaid wood puzzles with trays: 6 are Playskool and 1 is Walgreen Co. Age varies - the Playskool puzzles may date from the 80's - 90's. The Walgreen Co. puzzle is more recent, from the 2000's. For ages 2 to 6 years range. Made in U.S.A.
I have placed a ruler in some pictures for size reference. Most puzzles measure approx. 11 1/2" tall x 9 1/2" wide and about 1/4" thick. The Disney Princess puzzle is approx. 11 5/8" x 8 1/2". The Linus puzzle is about 3/8" thick because of some separation.
These used puzzles are complete with all of the puzzle pieces. I inspected the trays underneath the pieces and the backs of the puzzle pieces and saw no writing, outlining or scribbling.
Range from very good to fair used condition. Light soiling and smudges. More wear along the borders, edges and corners. I note some scuffs, scrapes, scratches, chips. No musty or smoke odor.
I show one puzzle taken apart as an example, and show close ups of some of the wear.
230-16 Smile!, Peanuts, 8 Pieces - with Peppermint Patty and Snoopy, caption is "Let me see you smile!": Has more surface scuffs along the white caption puzzle piece and along the white border tray edges and corners.
230-08 Sigh!, Peanuts, 6 Pieces - with Linus and his blanket: Has more scuffs along the white border tray edges and corners, and some rubs along the red background edges around the puzzle pieces. The tray has some separation but is still firmly together. More smudges on the back of the tray.
190-16 Minnie, Walt Disney, 8 Pieces - with Minnie and Thumper: A few scratches on Minnie's forehead.
190-14 Huey, Dewey, & Louie, Walt Disney, 10 Pieces: Light wear.
238-02 Ariel and Spot, Walt Disney, 10 Pieces: Light scratches along the upper border and dolphin's head.
287-07 Magic Carpet Ride, Walt Disney, 10 Pieces - with Jasmine and Prince Ali. Has a finger hole on the back of the tray: Has chipping and paper scrapes on three puzzle pieces (sky border above Prince Ali's head and on his pant leg, and on Jasmine's head. Paper scrape on the border edge.
Unnumbered Walgreen Co., Disney Princess, 12 Pieces - with Belle, Cinderella and Snow White: Minor wear. There is a 10/2009 Walgreen Co. label on the back of the tray.
This lot of puzzles weighs about 6 lb 6 oz together.
