Guillaume Lentheric was a distiller and perfume dispenser in the late 1800s and started a salon in Paris in 1875.
Company was incorporated in 1924. Became a subsidiary of Squibb in 1942. Acquired by Olin Chemicals in 1952. Lentheric was acquired by
Helene Curtis in 1956. In the 1960s British-American Cosmetics (Division of British-American Tobacco) bought Lentheric, and they also owned Yardley.
Old Bond Street (owned by Wasserstein Perella) purchased Lentheric and Yardley in 1990. Lentheric was sold to Shaneel Ent in 1998
