    Description

    ~ CRAYOLA BOX (Multi-Spot-Dyed) WOOL YARDAGE ~
    “W O O D E D
    C A N O P Y
    (I)”
( Over a Solid Lemongrass Base Wool )
**Reversible ~ Lighter on One Side; Darker on the Other**
(Sold by the Piece = Fat 1/8 yard Total, Approx. 13” x 16”)
    ( A gorgeous spot-dye with Lime, Lemon-Yellow & Khaki-Greens )
*I created this formula specifically for Tree Canopies in mind, but what an
‘oh so lovely piece’ for a Forest of Ferns or Hillside of Mixed Grasses too!
This is a great green for Leaves, Vines, Lime Trees, Shrubs, Moss,
Veggies, Reptiles, Frogs, Exotic Parrots, etc.!*
    One side is a “more muted” version with the colors blending softly into each other;
the other side is “richer in tone & intensity” great for outlining…perfect to use
BOTH SIDES for a broader range of effects (reversible).
**Photos never do my Hand-Dyed Colors…Justice ~ So much Prettier in Person**
    My
    Crayola Box ~ Multi-Spot-Dyed
    wool is dyed using a
    very time consuming
    “multi-spot-dye process”
    that involves
several different dyes and/or dye formulas and several steps
which takes a longer time to process,
    hence
the increased starting price in my listings
    .
    This process creates
    a more
    “painterly & impressionistic effect”
    with more
muted overall colors and a gentle fusion & transition of the colors than with the regular Spot-Dye methods!
You will get great depth & undulations of the different colors in each loop you hook!
    You can use
    both sides
, one is a little darker…great for outlining & backgrounds; the other side is a little lighter…great for filling in the design…or, skies the limit!
The wool is measured PRIOR to washing, giving you a
    full fat eighth yard
to work with.  The wool is felted and ready for you to use.  Each piece measures approximately 13" wide x 16” long and totals one Fat 1/8 yard after shrinkage & felting.
    **Note:
If you order a (multiple quantity) such as 2 or 4 if available, we’ll do our best to keep those (intact) as a larger piece.
    Quantity 2 would then be a Fat 1/4 yd. (approx. 16” x 26”) and Quantity 4 would then be a Fat 1/2 yd. (approx. 26” x 32”).
You are bidding on 100% hand-dyed wool that has been
    "multi-spot-dyed"
over either Natural or other Solid Color base wool.
The formulas I create will change with the seasons and will include a wide range of shades from light to medium and dark to rich.   I only use new, 100% wool from the finest suppliers in the wool industry.  My wool is suitable for traditional & primitive cut sizes in rug hooking as well as wonderful for wool appliqué work.
If you are new to rug hooking and have no other resources available, I’d be happy to cut your wool into strips on your FIRST ORDER, a
    maximum
of (4 bundles or 1 yard equivalent).  However, I would be most appreciative if you would seek out your local resources for cutting (i.e. ~ friend, neighbor, guild or shop) and
use me as your last resort
so I may have the time to dye more wonderful shades of wool for your future projects!
I can cut your wool into #6 (6/32”), #8 (1/4”), or #9 (3/8”) cut strips.  Please notify me
    at the time of payment
if you’ll need your wool cut & which size you would like & allow
    an additional day or two
    for my extra work.
    Do N
    ote
    :
once your wool has been pre-cut into wool strips & shipped to you, it is
no longer eligible for exchange or refund
    !
    Also,
    future orders
    will need to be charged
    {.50 per Fat 1/4 yard bundle or yardage equivalent}
to offset my time, as well as maintenance & repair costs for my cutter.
I do my best to post photographs that realistically represent the colors in my hand-dyed wools & velveteen fabric.
Please understand that computer monitors vary and the color representation {you personally see} may differ slightly from the original as everyone sees color differently.
If you have difficulty seeing a particular color, BE SURE to adjust your computer screen/monitor for “brightness” which can improve you seeing the colors & the subtle over & undertones of each color & variations.
In most cases, the colors in your wool/velveteen will be much more pleasing in person than what you see in the photo.  I guarantee 100% satisfaction.
Some, but not all of the “photo samples of rugs” I
    may
display here are projects hooked by me & they are shown merely to demonstrate how my wool can be used in a rug project.
    I
    do not
copy, re-design, trace, sell or profit from any of these rugs or patterns (that are not mine) in anyway!!
