    Description

    ~Texture~

    MAGDALENA
    ’S
    ACCENTS”
    VARIETY TEXTURES
    (~ Collection II ~)
    **This 5-Piece Bundle is equal to 5/16 Yards in Total**
    (
    5 Different Textures used for Primitive Projects
    )
    This 5-Piece Texture Collection was designed for those
    who are interested in re-creating the look of
    Magdalena
    Briner Eby’s early 1800’s wonderful ‘folk art’ style!
    *
    Magdalena
    used many naturally-dyed colors in her rugs reminiscent of her
    Pennyslvania German heritage & the influence of Frakturs of that time.
    This is a nice collection of muted shades that would have “faded nicely”
    over time being dyed naturally & not as color fast in those days.
    These are also great for the many Animals & Objects she used in her
    designs such as: Dogs, Cats, Horses, Foxes, Ducks, Roosters,
    Crows, Eagles, other Birds, & her famous Lollipop Tree of Life, Etc.
    This
    Bundle Collection-II
    can be used along with
    Bundle Collection-I
    for the added variety she would commonly have used!
    I would also consider
    some of my other Bundles such as (Roasted Coffee; Hares to Ewe; American
    Hero; Golden Dayz & Padula Flower)
    to round out your palette!!*
    *
    A soft, muted Shrimp-Pink Herringbone Texture;
    *
    A Muted Terra Cotta-Rosy Red Background w/ Lt.-Med. Brown Plaid;
    *
    Spruce Blue overall Shade with tiny Chevron Texture;
    *
    Buttercup Background with Lg. Pale Green & Rust Windowpane Plaid;
    *
    Faded, Pink-Red Background with Dark, Rosy-Brown Banded Plaid
    IF YOU ARE PURCHASING a "combination of different types of items
    such as Notions
    plus
    Wool (bundles + yardage) etc.,
    PLEASE WAIT
    TO PAY
    until you have received my “Combined Invoice”
    !!
    You are bidding on 100% mill-dyed wool that I have already pre-washed & lofted in my Kookaburra
    Lanolin
    Wash
    and is ready for you to use
    .  The wool is from the finest suppliers overseas in the wool mill industry.
    These wools are suitable for primitive rug hooking and wool appliqué work.
    Depending on the combo/color collection you select, you'll have either 4 to 8 pieces of "complementary textures"
    measuring approximately
    (6-1/2" wide x 16" long)
    in each
    grouping.
    Each 4-piece bundle totals
    4/16 yard (
    or the same as a
    Fat 1/4 yard);
    Each 5-piece bundle totals
    5/16 yard;
    Each 6-piece bundle totals
    6/16 yard
    (or the same as 3/8 yard);
    Each 7-piece bundle totals
    7/16 yard
    and
    Each 8-piece bundle totals
    1/2 yard
    .
    On rare occasions I will offer larger Bundle Pack Collections which will be priced accordingly!
    The wool is measured PRIOR to washing, giving you a full fat quarter yard to work with.
    The wool is felted and ready for you to use.
    Each piece measures approximately 6” to 7" wide x 16” to 18" long and there are 5
    pieces in each bundle
    totaling 5/16 yard.
    TEXTURES ADD additional depth & interest to any wool project.
    They are often used for “outlining” in Primitive rugs!
    I purchase only the finest 100% Textured wools that will complement my own hand-dyed woolens.
    The textures will range from nice multi-color threaded plaids, windowpane plaids, hounds tooth checks, herringbone chevron textures, cat-eye patterns, honeycomb patterns, etc.
    Many of these same “as-is” textures are used in my over-dyeing process as well.
    They are pre-washed and fully felted and ready to use in your rug hooking or wool appliqué projects.
    You can use either side of these wools!
    For rug hooking, it is most often recommended that you use a “wider cut” with a texture as many (not all) can have a looser weave and may be a little more challenging to work with.
    If using “looser woven” wool for appliqué work, you may want to iron your wool to a thin adhesive such as Premium Soft Fuse or Steam-A-Seam which will cut down on fraying along the edges of your wool.
    *NOTE:
    I do “combine shipping” for items paid for
    with
    one
    payment
    ; however
    I will need to make adjustments with all these different shipping charges
    !!
    What this means is that
    (1) Fat 1/4 yard wool item will ship 1
    st
    class
    anywhere in the US for .50
    and
    anywhere in Canada for .25;
    for multiple purchases add
    .75 for
    each additional wool item
    .
    **This is a formula I came up with that accommodates the different zones & different shipping rates across the country as well as covers my
    handling expenses.
    I now add insurance to all my domestic & international packages.
    If a package is lost in transit & not received,
    please let me know right away
    .
    I cannot guarantee I can replace your entire order, but will do the best I can.
    If I cannot replace the full order, I will reimburse for the difference.
    If you are new to rug hooking and have no other resources available, I’d be happy to cut your wool into strips on your FIRST ORDER, a
    maximum
    of (4 bundles or 1 yard equivalent).
    However, I would be most appreciative if you would seek out your local resources for cutting (i.e. ~ friend, neighbor, guild or shop) and
    use me as your last resort
    so I may have the time to dye more wonderful shades of wool for your future projects!
    I can cut your wool into #6 (6/32”), #8 (1/4”), or #9 (3/8”) cut strips.
    Please notify me
    at the time of payment
    if you’ll need your wool cut & which size you would like & allow
    an additional day or two
    for my extra work.
    Do N
    ote
    :
    once your wool has been pre-cut into wool strips & shipped to you, it is
    no longer eligible for exchange or refund
    !
    Also,
    future orders
    will need to be charged
    {.50 per Fat 1/4 yard bundle or yardage equivalent}
    to offset my time, as well as maintenance & repair costs for my cutter.
    I do my best to post photographs that realistically represent the colors in my hand-dyed wools & velveteen fabric.
    Please understand that computer monitors vary and the color representation {you personally see} may differ slightly from the original as everyone sees color differently.
    If you have difficulty seeing a particular color, BE SURE to adjust your computer screen/monitor for “brightness” which can improve you seeing the colors & the subtle over & undertones of each color & variations.
    In most cases, the colors in your wool/velveteen will be much more pleasing in person than what you see in the photo.
    I guarantee 100% satisfaction.
    Some, but not all of the “photo samples of rugs” I
    may
    display here are projects hooked by me & they are shown merely to demonstrate how my wool can be used in a rug project.
    I
    do not
    copy, re-design, trace, sell or profit from any of these rugs or patterns (that are not mine) in anyway!!
    My wool comes from a smoke free home!
