Universal Greenhouse Glazing Seal - 25 metre rolls - 10mm wide 3mm thick single sided self adhesive black UV stable PVC foam (sticks to the aluminium and not the glass)
This PVC foam glass seal gasket strip is tried and tested and has been used for several years on greenhouses with no deterioration, we have sold thousands and thousands of miles of this seal and we use it on most greenhouse renovation projects.
Please beware of cheaper less dense Polyethylene foam which has not been tested fully for this application.

ROLLS ARE NEEDED TO GLAZE A FULL 8' x 6' GREENHOUSE
3mm is the perfect thickness for glazing seal, any thicker and you may have problems fitting your glazing clips, any thinner you could end up with loose glass and draughts.
We have spent a great deal of time experimenting on the best size of seal to replace old or missing seals in used greenhouses. This seal sticks to the glazing bars of the vast majority of greenhouses and replaces rubber as well as non setting mastic seals. The 10mm width ideally fits most glazing bars and will cover the gaps left by the original seal channels. We used to sell the cheaper 6mm wide seal but often found it did not sit very well on a lot of glazing bars.
You will probably only reglaze once so it makes sense to use the best seal and buy from a company that builds greenhouses as their main business, who can advise and help with any questions you have.
1 long 25 metre roll will suffice for around 20 x 24" x 24" glass sheets, 3 rolls will cover a full 8' x 6' greenhouse.
This seal is especially useful for replacing seal on fully built greenhouses and glasshouses where butyl mastic or silicone sealant has been used as a gasket, the tape seal can be used by simply cutting the protruding seal off the glazing bars and sticking the self adhesive tape gasket over the top as shown in the pictures.
The only type of seal we have found it not good for replacing is the thin "U" section type that fits over ridges on glazing bars found on some of the cheaper greenhouses, if you have glazing bars that use this type of seal please contact us for advice.
