Continental Silver Ladies Make Up Compact

This vintage Continental silver ladies compact dates from the 1920’s. The stylish jeweled hinged case is superbly decorated with beautiful inlay rectangular cut red coral slabs & round blue/turquoise cabochon gems that together form a stunning geometric motif. Hand applied filigree florets placed within each criss cross square, accent this motif. A large turquoise cabochon in the center of the design further embellishes this unusual piece. Once opened, the interior reveals a framed mirror & original powder mesh frame, still intact. There are now visible markings to identify the maker &/or country of origin. My guess is Italy or France. The compact is in very good condition with some minor wear.
