  • Condition: Sold as Set. The drafting set is missing one piece, but otherwise the case shows normal wear. The drafting devices are in very good condition. The Brown & Sharpe Handbook Guide for Young Machinists is in overall good condition; some loose binding. There is an inscription with the manual's owner written in ink on the first page.

    Description

    Sold as a Set, the Brown & Sharpe "Handbook for Young Machinists" and the Kern AARV Drafting Set were owned by a machinist for York (PA)  Naval Ordnance, and later, AMP Inc of Harrisburg, PA.  They were in his possession since the early 1940s when he began his apprenticeship.
    One small metallic nib is missing from the drafting set. The Handbook has an inscription to the owner and shows some wear issues, although all the pages are in-place.
