This auction is for a
vintage
Avon
compact.
c.1935.
Listed in the
"BROWN CATALOGUE OF COMPACTS & COLLECTIBLES",
this Art-Deco compact has a silver and dark blue enamel cover.
Inside there is a compartment containing the original powder behind the mirror flap and
an empty section for pills or small tokens covered by another flap.
The locking mechanism closes and opens smoothly & securely.
This compact is in overall very good condition for its age.
This compact came from the Bronfman collection estate sale and
would make a beautiful addition to a collection.
There is some dirt & wear that has not been cleaned or altered
to preserve its vintage patina and integrity.
