Antique Whiting Blue Guilloche Gold-Washed Sterling Art Deco Chatelaine Compact

Description

This cute little Art Deco dance compact is made of sterling silver and topped in a blue enamel guilloche that catches the light beautifully. Rather unusually, it appears to contain its original powder puff topped with a matching blue ribbon, and a glass divider. The chain and finger ring appear to be original to the piece as well. It's marked on its rim with what appears to be the Whiting "W" in a circle and "STERLING 222".
This piece measures about 1 1/2 inches in diameter and 3/4 inches tall. It has a slightly soft patina and one small pinprick ding on its side. The enamel appears to be perfect, the mirror clear aside from some light spots of moisture damage. It maintains its interior gold wash and original puff. The glass insert is clear but has some chips around its rim.
