Fresh out of an early Maine estate collection.
As found, Antique. large wood sewing box with mirror, and contents. Measures approximately 13 1/2" x 10" x 6 1/4". are measures approximately 12 7/8" x 9 1/2". Has lock, no key. Weighs well over 8 lbs. Heavy wood construction, burl or other wood, heavy wood veneer. Has mirror, with two ends chipped - stable. Some missing spots of veneer and wear on top lid, and one small area on side-end of base area. Age crack on bottom, very solid. Original contents, appear from the 1940's, box older - Victorian era. Open and closes fine, with hinges on back. Removable wooden tray with pincushion. A large substantial example. You are bidding on all in photos.
