    This is a Antique Shaker (Community) Leather Roll Up Sewing Kit Needles Thread Pins Red Lining. The roll up is lined with red silk taffeta (some very very light foxing to the fabric consistent with age). The tubular thread holder is firm to hold spools of thread and to be the base for the roll. There are slots to insert embroidery thread, a pocket with flattened bow, and a flap that is the needle book (the two pages are cream color wool with blanket stitch embroidered edges). The (bronzed) leather shows wear consistent with the age. All the leather edge binding is hand stitched. The sewing kit measures 11 1/2 inches long when unrolled, and 6 inches wide. The thickness is approximatelt 1 3/4 inches diameter. Smoke and pet free home.
