Description

Antique French "necessaire" , travel box, with sewing and toiletry utensils, fitted.
Dated middle of 19th century, Napoleon III period, neo classic style.
Solid wood with brass corners and porcelain hand painted decoration on the top.
Locking mechanism, with original key (works).
Mirror inside has protective board ( soft, covered with silk)
The stand and all details inside of the whole box are decorated with moire silk, silk velvet and metallic threads around the edge.
The bottom holds:
-- 3 crystal bottles with brass screw caps, decorated with porcelain inserts.
In addition, each vial has a hermetically sealed glass lid
--2 crystal jars for cream with screw caps, decorated with porcelain inserts.
-- velvet stand, holding full sewing kit  with bone and metal handles.
When removed, there is a storage area .

--Clothes brush with a richly decorated top (marquetry with brass wood and mother-of-pearl).
