Large, hand-painted, solid silver powder compact, marked 800 purity.
Features a lovely portrait of a noble woman.
Scalloped, circular shape with beautiful engraving all around as shown.

Engraved exterior of the top of the compact has a silver "lacy" floral design, in that it is cut out
around
the flowers and see-through to a light, gold wash or coppery background; a very pretty contrast. The sides and back of the exterior of the compact is a solid engraved style of the same floral design. Interior has mirror and custom screening pad for powder

Overall excellent antique condition. Mirror shows some wear spots commensurate with age. Approximate measurements: weight 122gr, dimensions 3.75" x 3.25".
