Antique French Powder Rouge Compact Jeweled Enamel Portrait Ormolu 19th Century

This gorgeous antique French compact is all about the beautifully detailed portrait of a fashionable lady. The stunning portrait is encircled by red stones and faux pearls, and the metal work is in very nice condition and finely detailed. This compact has a unused puff. There are some very small spots of discoloration on the interior but no verdigris, and the mirror has lost its silvering over time as is common for compacts of this age.
