Antique Compact Sheffeld Silver Plate Art Nouveau Jonteel Bird of Paradise

Description

This antique compact has both Art nouveau and Art deco elements in design and was made in the 1920's. It is silver plated and made by Sheffeld Plate.
The compact is petite and octagonal shaped with a stunning repouse bird of Paradise design which was the signature logo design of Jonteel. The sides and back of the box is beautifully embossed with a wood like texture.  Not included with this item is a finger ring with a chain, mirror and a powder puff that came with it originally.  There is a loop at the top for a chain.  It measures approximately 1 5/8" diameter and 1" deep and is in very nice condition.
