    This listing is for the compact shown with carmel colored bakelite? base and celluloid fashion center.   I tested the piece with 409 and a q-tip.   The residue that came off was more brown to match the piece, not quite yellow.   So not sure if that confirms bakelite?
    Beautiful piece with outside mirror and inside compartments.   The outside mirror has some scuffs.
    There are some cracks in the celluloid art surface but it still looks great.   Measures approx 2.5" square.
