Antique Art Nouveau Sterling Silver & Blue Moonstone Compact, UNIQUE! This is such a gorgeous piece from the Art Nouveau Period. The Compact is made in Sterling Silver and opens to reveal a Silver Case that can be engraved. Inside that is where a woman's Compact powder was stored.
The front of this case has an organic swirling design with a Stunning Blue Moonstone Cabochon. The Moonstone has the fantastic Blue Adularescence and clarity that is characteristic of stones from this period. This piece could easily be repurposed into something functional for today, or used as intended.
I found this Antique in Minneapolis and was told that it belonged to someone from the Weisman Family. It is unmarked except for "Sterling." It weighs 118.9 grams and measures approximately 2-3/4" x 2-3/4".
