Antique Sterling silver and 18K gold powder compact Circa 1870’s.
It has a very intricate, detailed Engraved design and there is a raised monogram with the initials “ER” in solid 18k gold (acids tested for verification)
This gorgeous mixed metal compact features elegant styling and quality craftsmanship. Opens well to reveal a powder well and removable screen. There are only vestiges of powder remaining.
It has a star on it and a hexagon shape with a 5 and underneath “P4.”
Compact measures 4” in diameter and 5/16ths of an inch thick. It is in overall good vintage condition with general wear, a couple of tiny dings and warm patina.
Weight: A whopping 168.5 grams.
