Alan Gordon Enterprises Micrometer/Planimeter Measuring Instrument

I apologize, but I know very little about the instrument. No manufacturer stamped on the instrument. Looks like a micrometer for measuring small distances on plans, drawings, maps or photos. Has two glass panels that lay flat on surface a dial device and distance readout. Someone attached some notes on box lid. It is called a micrometer in the notes. Appears to be in good shape, dial turns, readout displays values. Contact me with questions. Thanks
