SIZE: From opening clasp to end of dangle 7", box is 4" X 3" X  depth 1", dangle 2 1/2",  chain is 6" doubled, all approx.
CONDITION:  Very nice, very rare.
DESCRIPTION:
VINTAGE ANTIQUE LARGE FLAPPER CELLULOID DANCE PURSE COMPACT. Very ornate celluloid (?) dance purse compact. Open golden color filigree border, highly embellished clasp and  chain and dangle decoration, VERY HEAVY compact dance purse! Lovely coral color. Interior has a beveled mirror showing wear, framed by ivory colored celluloid. Mirror on hinge that folds down to reveal storage compartment for(?). Other side has powder well with residue powder and rouge well filled with rouge, 2 puffs, One marked Gainsboro trade mark pure wool. Could be French, but maker unknown. Spectacular compact purse, never seen anything like it, the photos don't do it justice!
