1961 Marx Disneykins - Babes in Toyland Plastic Figures/Soldiers, Lot of 2.
This is a lot of 2 Babes in Toyland plastic soldiers, released in 1961 by Marx. This was part of Marx’s Disneykin line of plastic figures. These pieces would have come boxed individually or as a set, and they are actually hand painted. There were about 5 different poses in the line, and this lot includes the standing guard with rifle and the marching trumpeter. These stand approximately 3” in height and are made from a hard, light plastic, which I assume is Bakelite. There is some condition issue with each, see below.
Condition: the paint on these is actually pretty good with only the trumpeter having a few minor spots of paint loss. However, the standing guard has a broken gun - the barrel is missing and the cone of the marching trumpeters trumpet is also broken off and missing. These are still pretty collectible and would display well though.
