Description

1920s vintage ladies compact and coin purse by Watrous Silver Co., in sterling silver. Bell-shaped or tapered compact itself measures 3.25" long to top of bow and about 2" wide. Silver mesh handle with adjustable slide measures about 4 3/4" long. Art deco shape and design features vertical bands of machined lines and a center rectangle lozenge. Lozenge is monogrammed HS?. Back is plain. Item opens to reveal mirror on one side, compact and coin compartment on the other; these are hinged with locking tabs. Still retains original puff. Item has a couple very faint dents but mostly excellent condition. A proper cleaning will really making this one pop. See photos for more details.
