...Outdoor Girl was actually launched in 1928 with its first advertisements appearing in trade publications in February 1929. The packaging of Outdoor Girl products was a visual Tour de Force with the central theme of a windswept lady golfer leaning on her driver – as if she was waiting to tee off for what she hoped would be an exciting game. The Crystal Chemical Company’s use of colours in Outdoor Girl packaging was also well ahead of its competitors. They were vibrant, first face powder case was painted in a deep blue observers were impressed with the launch and commented that “…The Outdoor Girl line of cosmetics…are handsomely and very attractively packed
