    1928 Fiancee Woodsworth Art Deco Early Powder Compact Moon Sailboat Bookpiece.
    Offered is a scarce small early Art Deco silver chrome plated compact. The Art Deco celluloid insert features a sailboat with an archer taking aim at the bow of the boat under a big orange full moon that glows in the ocean waves. Measures 1.75” in diameter. The mirror is clean and the latch closes smoothly. This compact is featured in Mueller’s American Compacts on page 189. The compact is imprinted around the outside frame of the mirror Woodsworth Paris Fiancée. This is a vintage from 1928. Has original puff signed Fiancée on the front. Excellent vintage condition.
